The 27th Euro-IX Forum took place in Bucharest on 26 – 28 October, 2014

The 25th Euro-IX Forum was hosted by InterLAN in Bucharest, Romania, on 26 – 28 October 2014.

Euro-IX is an association of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), promoting an open interchange of ideas and experiences, gained to mutual advantage of the membership, by offering fora, meetings, mailing lists and on-line resources. Euro-IX also gathers information on regulatory issues affecting member exchanges within the region and where appropriate from other jurisdictions that could potentially impact on the membership.

The Euro-IX Forums have been initiated to bring together all Euro-IX affiliated IXPs & Patrons in one place to discuss relevant IXP specific issues which are facing all exchange points. The Forums include member discussions on both technical and managerial issues faced by IXPs, presentations by both IXP related vendors and well known IXP community speakers, as well as social events to allow all members to interact with one another.

The 25th Euro-IX Forum was followed by the first RONOG (first NOG meeting ever held in Romania).
